TB-500 — Synthetic Thymosin Beta-4

TB-500 is the synthetic version of Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4), a 43-amino-acid protein found ubiquitously in mammalian cells, where it acts as the main G-actin sequestering agent. Its role in cytoskeletal dynamics, cell migration and extracellular matrix biology has made it the subject of extensive preclinical research, including the active fragment Ac-SDKP.

What it is studied for

In the published preclinical literature, TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4) has been investigated in laboratory and in-vitro models for its effects on:

  • Wound healing & regeneration — cell migration and proliferation across skin, muscle, cornea and cardiac tissue
  • Anti-inflammatory & anti-fibrotic activity — reduced inflammation and scar-tissue formation
  • Angiogenesis — growth of new blood vessels in repair models
  • Flexibility & recovery — actin regulation linked to connective-tissue recovery
  • Hair growth — follicle activation in dermatological models

In plain terms: studied for whole-body tissue regeneration, recovery and reduced inflammation.
